Happy New Year

Ello my human friends!
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
As you can see I played the role of Santa Claus for Christmas and Ise was my reindeer. I never quite got the hang of the whole HO HO HO thing though, but the presents got there anyways. The humans were very happy with all their gifts. A job well done for me. I even got the lil humans to get along with each other, it was a Christmas miracle.
Now that it is the new year there isn’t much going on, just simple lazy days of winter. Not too many shenanigans going on around here, but I’m sure I’ll come up with something soon.
Until then, enjoy your January and hope for the 49ers to kick the Giants butt in the NFC Championship – (that’s right I’m a football fan!)

Summer Fun Is Done

I have noticed that what cats most appreciate in a human being is not the ability to produce food which they take for granted, but his or her entertainment value.
So humans, have you missed me?

Well I was having a lil vacation, because you know us cats work so hard and everything 
But I’m BACK HURRAH!!!!!
There hasn’t been too much excitement around here in the past few weeks, everyone has been winding down getting ready for Fall. I’m a little sad though that Summer is ending. The little humans had to go back to school whatever that is, so they aren’t here much to entertain me now.
I miss all our silly games. It’s boring around here without them. Who is going to play ping pong with me and Ise now???
Me and Ise tried playing some pong by ourselves but it just wasn’t as fun.
I guess now that Summer is ending I’ll have to find a new hobby, I’ll work on that and let you know what I come up with 
I’m really starting to miss all the attention too. The old cranky human I’m stuck with now doesn’t give us too much attention, he mostly just ignores us. I’ll have to put a stop to that or I’ll go bonkers!
Well like I said not too much going on lately, but if you know me I’m sure the shenanigans will be just around the corner. I’ll see what I can get into and report back ASAP!!!
Here’s hoping the little humans come by for a visit soon!

Hide & Seek

‘Ello humans!
Sorry it’s been a few weeks. It’s been soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo meowin’ hot here I haven’t had much energy to do anything fun. All I’ve been doing is sleepin’, eatin’ occasionally and of course keepin’ meself hydrated. That’s important to do in this hot humid weather so make sure you all are drinking that water!!
A few days ago the weather cooled off a little bit, so I thought I’d have some fun for a change and play around a little. Ise had a great idea (I know – shocking isn’t it), she said she wanted to play hide and seek! That sounded like fun, and I was truly bored so I thought why not? Let’s go for it. Ise decided she would hide first, so I went around the corner and counted to ten.
1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10! READY OR NOT HERE I COME!!!!
I booked it down the hallway into the kitchen. Hmmmmmmm where would she hide??????? I checked the table… nope not there. I checked the window… nope not there. I checked in the bathroom behind the toilet… nope not there. I went into the living room and checked behind the TV, behind the plant, behind the couch… NOPE not there, where the heck is she??? Pepper was laughing at me and I was starting to get upset. It’s not like Ise is all that “little” I should be able to see her. I went up my tree to look down upon the house but still I couldn’t see her!!!
I stayed up there for like 20 minutes and finally I got mad and said I GIVE UP!!!! All of a sudden I hear this little laugh coming from above me. Ise was on the top of the tree the whole time and I never once noticed her!!! She glared down at me in a teasing way and that just set me off!!! I ran up to the top and bopped her one right in the mouth. She ran away crying. At first I was like “GOOD, serves her right!”, but then when she came back into the living room I felt really bad because I gave her a fat lip. I gave her a hug and said I was sorry, she said it was ok, so we are friends again. I learned a lesson though, I shouldn’t be such a poor sport. Even cats can have anger issues sometimes. I guess I just like to win, I can’t help it. Next time we play I’ll just have fun instead of worrying about winning. (We’ll see how that goes, I AM the MIGHTY Zeus after all ).

The Little Humans

‘Ello humans, I thought I’d get up close and personal for this one.
So the little humans were over this week. They can be quite entertaining so I like to hang out with them when they are here. The two little humans fight over me alot, and I have to say I like that I am the MIGHTY Zeus after all. I love all the attention, I thrive on it 
So usually we run around playing little games, get some exercise by chasing them around, claw their toes when they take their socks off, you know all that good stuff. This time though we came up with a few new things to do, one I liked, one not so much.
Wrestling with the little humans!!!!
This game was FUN FUN FUN. As you can see I WON!!! I knocked him out and am now the reigning CHAMPION!!! If you look closely you can see I’m gloating a bit, but thats ok because I’m the MIGHTY Zeus! Don’t worry, no harm came to the human, he’s fine now, just a bruised ego hehehehehe
So that game was great and I’ll be up for more of that, but I have to say this next game wasn’t my cup of tea at all.
Do you see that??? That little human put barrettes on me! She thought I was a doll or something. A GIRLY doll!!! I mean come on, do I look like a girl to you????? pfffft I don’t think so. The Mighty Zeus does NOT wear barrettes! Needless to say that didn’t last too long. I think I might shy away from her for awhile.
Aside from the “let’s dress up the Mighty Zeus like a little girly doll” game, I enjoyed my time with the little humans. Hopefully they will come visit me again soon.

The 4th of July?

So as I mentioned yesterday, something weird was going on with the humans. Well today it got even worse and I couldn’t figure out what the heck was going on! Pepper didn’t seem to care, all she did was sleep all day. Ise and I were curious though, as us cats often are, so we started to investigate.
I heard the humans call these things “flags”, not too sure what that means, they don’t do much but I played with them a bit. It was fun … for like a second. I got bored with them and decided to go hang out on my perch so I could look down on the humans and see what was going on. I was up there for only a moment and the humans decided to decorate me!!!
What the heck??? Silly humans. Whatever.
I decided to go downstairs to take me a cat nap, it was pretty hot out so I thought the cool basement would be nice. I napped for a few hours until I got woken up by some really loud noises. It freaked me out a bit, but I went upstairs to check it out and this is what I saw …
It was really pretty. I’ve never seen anything like it, but it was LOUD and to be honest it scared the living daylights out of me (shhhhhhhhhh don’t tell anyone I was a scaredy cat ). I ran for cover and shook in my boots til it was over.
I’m not sure I like this 4th of July stuff, it’s a bit too noisy for my taste. My humans seem to love it. I heard them say something about it being Independence Day, well as a cat I’m all for a day that celebrates being independent .

It’s MY Spotlight

Hello humans!
Sorry it’s been a few days since we’ve chatted. Something weird is going around here. My humans have been putting up red white and blue stuff all over the place. They keep lighting something and then I hear a BANG… BANG BANG BANG… BOOM. It’s quite annoying actually but more on that tomorrow.
Today I’d like to talk about my sister Isemay. The self proclaimed “Princess” of the house. She’s becoming an attention hog lately and I’m not too happy about it.
See what I mean? Look at her trying to push me into the background. Suddenly she thinks she’s all that! Trying to become the star of the show. (rolls eyes)
My humans like to take photos ALOT and usually I’m the subject of those photos, but lately Ise is figuring it all out trying to pose and look all cute and adorable. ( rolls eyes … … …again) Just today I caught her on the table posing for the camera and trying to take the spotlight.
Awwwwwwwwww isn’t that sooooooooooo cute? NOT! She is not gonna get away with this!!!
You think she’s cute huh humans? Well LOOK AT ME!!!!!
This is what you call cute!
Let that be a lesson to you Isemay and any other cat or human or ANY living being for that matter.

The Games We Play

When you are looking, a cat acts like a prince, but the minute they think you are not looking, a cat acts like a fool.
I have to admit there is a devilish side to me. I’ve told you how I like to annoy my older sister Pepper. I find it great fun to tease her. Most times I follow her around walking next to her and a little bit to the front. Then I turn around and smile at her. She is not amused and I usually get a bop to the head or a nice hiss. Doesn’t stop me though, I continue on grabbing her tail as if it were a toy until she chases me away. When my humans feed us I always make sure to get to the bowl first. If I’ve already eaten and I see Pepper at the bowl I run up and stick my paw in the bowl and grab some more food just because I know it annoys her. hehehehehehe. It’s great fun I tell ya. I know she isn’t all that annoyed because often times when she is sitting on the top of the couch or the window sill, she purposely wags her tail at me so I’ll play with her. I know she loves me even though I’m the bratty younger brother. She’d be oh so bored if I wasn’t around to antagonize her.

Sometimes we are just down right silly. I thought this would be a good spot to put the ball so Pepper couldn’t get it. She was quite good at balancing it on her head! Go figure.
I thought she would be annoyed with me as usual but she was very amused.
Siblings are a lot of fun and I’m so glad I have my sisters Pepper and Isemay to keep me entertained! Until next time humans …

Okay,fellow human owners…a little secret here. Don’t you hate it when your human tries to scare you with water? Well get this…it doesn’t hurt! Actually, it’s really refreshing! I just look at them,like ” Come on…give me your best shot. Thank you!” Drives them CRAZY! Don’t run away…let them know who’s Boss! Eventually, they’ll stop…just sit there looking at them,”That all ya got?”

Silly Humans

Humans: No fur, no paws, no tail. They run away from mice. They never get enough sleep. How can you help but love such an absurd animal?
Humans are funny creatures aren’t they?
When Ise and I first came to our new home at 4 months old we had a little room all to ourselves. It was fine at the time you see because we had all we needed right there in that room. We were pretty small and a little scared too so being confined to a small room was A-Okay by me. The humans would come in to see us every now and then and boy oh boy did we purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr in delight when they did. Time seemed to fly by and before you knew it they were releasing us from our small room and suddenly we had a new found freedom. Rooms everywhere to explore. I was a bit timid at first, so I let Ise take the lead ( I think that’s how she got so full of herself, my sister seems to think she’s in charge most of the time rolls eyes ). Before you knew it though I was running around everywhere and getting into anything and everything I could. I got the feeling my humans weren’t too impressed with me because often I’d hear them yell “ZEUS!” in that tone that really says “You are driving me crazy!” I heard the word No alot as well. I mean come on humans, why’d you let me out if you didn’t want me to go everywhere? (rolls eyes again) I didn’t let their yells stop me though, I simply had to go everywhere I could. Pepper wasn’t thrilled with us at all. Anytime I got close to her she would hiss at me like you wouldn’t believe. That didn’t stop me either, in fact I’d make a point of swatting at her tail every chance I could get just to annoy her heeheeheehee MEOW!
We pretty much had the run of the house now but there was still an obstacle in our way. The kitchen door was always closed and after a few weeks I decide I wanted to know what was on the other side. I managed to get through a few times but my humans always caught me before I could get anywhere. They were pretty careful after that, so I decided until they opened that door I was gonna drive them nuts. I started jumping up on the sink getting water everywhere causing a few stern ZEUS NO, or ZEUS STOP THAT. Then I decided I’d jump up on the stove while they were cooking. They really didn’t like that but oh well I thought it was fun. Didn’t they understand I wanted what was behind that door? All they had to do was open that door and I’d stop bothering them!
Well the day finally came and the door was open! TA DA!!! Meowzers there is like a whole nother level! They have been holding out on me. Ise and I went down the stairs to find a whole new place to discover. My humans seemed nervous though. They followed us anywhere we went. Sheesh humans gives us a little space here. They tried to keep us out of certain places, but they are just humans, they couldn’t possibly know that if there is a will there is a way, and sure enough we found our way into all of it. They soon gave up and we had the lay of the land.
Oh I lied earlier when I said I’d stop bothering them. I’m a cat, its my job to annoy.
There was one last place to conquer. I knew my humans were gonna have a fit, but did I care? Nope! I’m a tree dweller folks, so I must find my way up there. My human was in the room on the computer, but she didn’t notice me. I figured now was the time to go for it. So I jumped up on my play gym and spotted the hole. I turned around one last time to see if she spotted me. Nope she’s too busy so here goes nothing! JUMP!!! haha I DID IT MEOW! I found my way up to the ceiling. Not much room but I’m small Uh Oh my human heard me up here, I’m in trouble now!
Humans sure are silly, but I can’t help but love MY silly little humans!

Hello World!

Hello world it’s nice to meet you. I am the mighty Zeus! MEOW!
My humans have gone to bed and before I loudly race through the dark house with my sister Isemay I thought I’d say Hi.
There isn’t much to talk about tonight but I guarantee I’ll have some stories for you soon. Shenanigans should of been my middle name. Come to think of it my humans didn’t give me a middle name so Shenanigans it is I promise to live up to it!
